Bio
I am in a Viking Death Metal band called Fimbulvetr, and our recordings are now available on our myspace page (www.myspace.com/fimbulvetrvfm). We have had a very good response in the last few months after having our material online.

My band's recording future is complicated. We hope to be able to record 2 MORE SONGS in august, but there are complications with the recording guy.

But me, I find that I really like Children of Bodom, Gojira, Behemoth, Opeth, Lamb of God, Kalmah, Moonsorrow, Necrophagist, Amon Amarth, Hypocrisy, Morbid Angel, Turisas, Angra, Keep of Kalessin, Zonaria, Vesania, Hate, Hate Eternal, Dan Swano and many others, those just being somewhere in my top, i dunno, 20?

I also hate being friends with people with whom my only connection with is metal. You guys really need to work on your people skills, because it usually just ends up as a do-you-like-this-band?-you-don't?-you-suck contest. I really hate people like that. Unless, of course, we like EXACTLY the same music at the EXACT same level of fandom, which is, of course, fucking impossible. Until recently, I had almost no willpower, backing down as soon as someone showed dislike of something i liked. Now, I'm the one who won't back down. I like shit, and I will let you know it.

I find the "I must conform to my music genre stereotype" sort of thing hilarious. i like death metal, but I don't want to go around killing emos, and I try not to hate to much on genres I don't like. I view people who hate other music as immature and ignorant. I also view people who don't listen to the music they hate as mindless venters - people who have no idea why they have the ideas they have. I'm just trying to make my transition to being a mature adult.

However, I am not saying I like metalcore, and the like. I, in fact, stay as far away from them as possible. Bullet for My Valentine, Trivium, Unearth and Beneath the Massacre are 4 bands that I think the world would be better without.

Unleashed, calm down with the anti-christian lyrics. I'm an atheist, and I hate all religion, and I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but I think that when all the song lyric explanation things have to do with how much you hate chrisitiany, i think you have to go get some prof. help. Seriously.

April update - I just bought 3 albums: Arsis' "We Are the Nightmare," Belphegor's "Bondage Goat Zombie," and Children of Bodom' (MY FAVORITE BAND!) "Blooddrunk." After hearing previews of each album, I grew some expectations. I thought Arsis and Belphegor would be great, and CoB would be total shit. Boy was I wrong. WATN is completely average, with no metal groove happening, just lots of tapping solos and leads, no bass, and 100% drum fills. BGZ is alright, with most of the songs being typical Belphegor songs. Now to my favorite: Blooddrunk. As I said before, I thought it would be total shit, and my low expectations were totally shattered by the greatness of the album! It's a bit over-produced, but unlike the other CoB albums, it combines with the mosh-y trash metal with the regular melodic death metal that they usually are. The only song that I can think of that is a CoB mosh song before Blooddrunk is Needled 24/7. Hellhounds on my Trail is a fucking awesome opener. Blooddrunk is like At the Gates meets Slayer. Banned From Heaven is alright, Tie My Rope I've known since the summer, so hearing a new version of it was awesome, because it basically changed completely.

May update - I love really long riffs, such as "Global Warming" by Gojira, all of Opeth, Vital Remains (Dechristianize), the longer Wintersun songs, Keep of Kalessin, the better Machine Head era, etc etc etc etc.

July update - Yeish, I love Lamb of God. Metal that is meant to get your blood pumping is my drink of the month. Behemoth, Origin, Hate Eternal. Anything that takes a big metal run around you and then punches you in the face. And yes, I like Lamb of God's breakdowns, not all of them, but most of them.
